Chestnut Road, Long Ashton. New driveway using reclaimed Bristol cobbles

Our client, a director at George Ferguson’s Architecture practice had designed a new driveway, pathways and paving in the garden and approached Incastone to turn this design into reality.

He had sourced new natural Pennant paving from South Wales and created an interesting and unique staggered design with the paving interspersed with decorative gravels.

The driveway consisted of reclaimed Bristol dock granite cobbles sourced locally and highland pebbles bays. The front of house pathway was built entirely of cobbles and both areas were pointed with a lime, sand and stonedust mortar, giving a flecked and textured pointing finish.

Channel drains were installed and a stepping stone pathway was created at the rear.
